A Stay at St Pierre, Chepstow: Historic Charm and Serene Surroundings

Our stay at the St Pierre Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Chepstow was a blend of history, charm, and relaxation, set in the heart of the Welsh countryside. This property, with roots dating back several centuries, instantly transports you to a different time with its stone walls, timeless architecture, and a captivating sense of history.

The Property and Chapel

The main building itself is impressive, with historic touches everywhere—from the grand entrance to the original stone chapel on the property grounds, which adds to the overall ambiance. Walking through the old stone pathways and admiring the historic chapel, you really feel the heritage of the place.

Courtyard Rooms

We stayed in one of the cozy courtyard rooms. Surrounded by greenery and traditional architecture, these rooms felt like a hidden sanctuary, away from the main hustle and bustle of the hotel. It was the perfect retreat for a peaceful stay, with views out to the serene grounds that made stepping outside feel like entering a private garden.

Charming Surroundings and Golf Course Walks

Though we didn’t play a round of golf, the St Pierre golf course added to the hotel’s charm. In the early mornings, we took walks along its pathways, surrounded by scenic landscapes and rolling green fairways. For golf lovers, this course is highly rated, but even if you’re just there to take in the scenery, it’s a delightful way to start the day.

Overall, our stay at St Pierre was a peaceful getaway with beautiful, historic surroundings, making it an ideal spot to relax and take in the tranquil charm of the Welsh countryside.
