Our family trip to Osaka wouldn’t have been complete without a visit to the iconic Osaka Castle. This historical landmark, surrounded by beautiful gardens and moats, offers not only a glimpse into Japan’s rich history but also stunning views from its top floor.

Exploring the Castle
Osaka Castle, originally built in the late 16th century, stands as a testament to Japan’s feudal past. The castle grounds are expansive, featuring lovely walking paths, cherry blossom trees, and informative plaques detailing the castle’s history. As we approached the main tower, we were struck by its grandeur and intricate architecture.

Views from Above
After climbing several flights of stairs (there’s also an elevator for those who need it), we reached the observation deck on the top floor. The panoramic views of Osaka from above were breathtaking. We could see the modern cityscape stretching out in all directions, juxtaposed with the traditional moat and lush greenery surrounding the castle grounds.
Our daughter loved pointing out various landmarks and spotting boats in the distant waterways. The view from the top of Osaka Castle offers a unique perspective on the city, blending historical significance with modern vibrancy.
